It all began with love…

Tunisia is where the Tanit Home + Lifestyle story begins… My partner of Tunisian descent and our frequent visits to this region created the perfect recipe to bring Tunisia’s rich artisan culture to the US. This African country is our inspiration for all things beautiful and exotic. The heritage and history from this ancient place lends itself to our namesake. The hardworking nature and passion of these humble artisans pouring their hearts into their crafts gave us inspiration. We invite you to go on this journey to explore unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that we have curated on our travels to this sun-soaked destination situated on the sapphire waters of the Mediterranean.

My name is Dana Klein. I am a creative and lover of all things interior and exterior design inspired. After 14 years in the corporate world, I had a strong desire to start my own brand and combine my business know-how with a design eye. The goal: bring authentic, handmade artisan goods into modern spaces while making a positive social impact.

Together with my boyfriend Cherif, we started the Tanit brand as a way to bring unique, handcrafted treasures from Tunisia to our online shop based in Washington, D.C. This North African country is where the Tanit Home + Lifestyle story begins and is our inspiration for all things beautiful and exotic. The heritage and history from this ancient place lends itself to our namesake.
